On Tuesday, June 24th, CCHS hosted about 20 seniors in our museum from the Culver City Senior Center.
We had plenty of CCHS volunteers on hand to meet them including: Dennis, Hope, Steve, our new
volunteer, Amelia, and myself.
We did an in-depth presentation for the seniors that focused on world events that led the birth of the United States, California, and ultimately, Culver City.
We talked about Harry Culver and the story of how he founded the City. We went on to discuss the history of the film and television industry here in Culver City.
Afterwards, the seniors had plenty of time to roam around the Museum and ask plenty
questions.
We had a great time hosting them and hope the seniors enjoyed their visit to CCHS as much as we did.
