AROUND THE WORLD IN FIFTY YEARS is what Dennis Parrish is calling his final program as VP of Programs for the Culver City Historical Society. Join us for this Journey that begins in 1953 with the film THE SILVER CHALICE starring Paul Newman thru PATTON and HELLO DOLLY to THE GANGS OF NEW YORK and U-571.
Over fifty years and more than sixty films shot in such faraway places as SPAIN, ITALY, GERMANY, MOROCCO, TAIWAN, HONG KONG, THAILAND, THE PHILIPPINES and more, working as a Property Master and Set Decorator.
His PowerPoint program will give you a rare behind the scenes look into the challenges of working on foreign locations, dealing with the needs of a film far and away from the Hollywood Studios, coping with the needs of Actors and Directors. Even a few laughs are provided and lots of trivia is covered so please join us as this promises to be an exciting evening.
