Historic site #4: The Citizen BuildingThe Citizen Building, 1929 (9355 Culver Blvd.)
Marked: October 18, 1984

This structure was built by Eugene Donovan to house his printing/publishing company. The Citizen newspaper was printed onsite  by presses that were housed at the back of the building. The Citizen’s local business included work for the local studios. Prior to building this structure, the Donovan Family’s printing and publishing headquarters in Culver City were just around the corner from Main Street. Main Street was also recognized by our Society as Historic Site #6 and later given Landmark status from the the city.

In the late 1990s, Josetta Sbeglia purchased the building which is a local landmark and is also recognized on the National Register of Historic Places.
