Did someone say Kong? Deep in our archives, I found this historical gem; the discovery of this photo times perfectly with Maureen’s feature story about the 50th anniversary of MGM’s King Kong, released in 1976.

Taken circa 1932, King Kong’s ani- mated armature torso sits atop a truck, ready to head to an inside stage and go to work! The 1933 King Kong interiors were shot at the RKO-Pathe Culver Stu- dios lot. No matter the era, Kong is a part of Culver City’s history.
