Freemasonry in Culver City: A Not-So-Secret History

This event was held at the Culver City-Foshay Lodge on Venice Blvd. on January 27th.  All in attendance marveled at the elegant limestone hall where meetings have been held since 1928.  They also Learned more about the fascinating and not-so-secret history of freemasonry in Culver City and experienced the inner sanctum of a Freemason Lodge.

Worshipful Master, Hayk Mushegyan welcomed the audience. Jack Bommarito, Society President gave an overview of the Historical Society and lauded the joint cooperation of the two organizations,  Past Master Jason Berry spoke on the origins of the Lodge and Junior Warden Sam Banister gave explanations of the historical items.

The 14 Lodge  founders included many city fathers, including Harry Culver. With a strong tradition of charitable works, the lodge members continue to aid the community as they have for decades through health fairs, soup kitchens, weekly open-house brunches, and other events.
